Brian Thomas
Brian Thomas is the original 'on-air redneck.' Brian was born and raised up in God's country (also known as the Tatumville bottoms), and went to high school at Dyer County High in Newbern. He graduated in 2000.
While in high school Brian worked at Tri-33 News in Dyersburg as a reporter and producer. After high school, he attended DSCC for awhile, but the TV bug was still biting him. Brian moved to Jackson, TN and worked several years at WBBJ-TV, and later at FBCJackson as the media director. Later, Brian saved big money at Menards for about a year in Effingham, IL. Since 2006, Brian has been back in God's country, on the air in Dyersburg, and has no plans to leave his east Dyer County home, ever.... again.
Brian has two dogs, two kids, a wife that goes by Nicole (his queen of his doublewide trailer), and plays with his own AM and FM radio stations in his spare time. He is an amateur radio operator, and is a member of the Dyer County Amateur Radio Association. Brian enjoys mowing the yard, and enjoys having the occasional cold beverage on a hot day out in his shed.
Hear Brian every weekday morning on the news during John Boy and Billy. He also works Sunday night from 9 to 11 as host of the Homegrown Rock Show, and during the week from noon to 6p on WTRO.... then from 7p-10p on Eagle973. Add Brian as a friend on Myspace or Facebook.
